We made a reservation for 11. They put us in the back by the kitchen. The food was great and server was funny!
Seasonal in October and November
They do offer take out! But if you never been there I recommend sitting at the counter so you can get the local experience.
There is a parking lot across the street from there that has Room for some kind the trucks and trailers
It costs $30. If you win you get a t-shirt ($20 value) your name on our plaque in the diner, your picture in the paper, and half off the price.
No
We are closed on Monday.
@debbie cook No we do not have pasties anymore, sorry.
1st time...so good. There fresh made bread makes the best French toast. Will definitely be back.
Delicious burger, the fries were awesome, highly recommend
Love Frank's, my favorite place in Kenosha. The food is wonderful and you get a ton of it, very good value. Best Irish coffee and mimosas for brunch.
Went on a Canada USA road trip, always wanted to try diner faire and Franks was terrific. My driving buddy and I had the biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, and pancakes; they were all fantastic. This lived up to the hype!
First experience at a real diner..and this place lives up to their name and hype..the energy was electrifying..the people in there are SUPER friendly i can't remember a time going to a restaurant and all the staff talks to you and make sure you are being taken care of..My kind of service...i had their famous homemade bread and OMG was it fye..definitely a place i would recommend and go back to.
The garbage plates are the best!!! Love the staff, love the owners, but the food is absolutely delicious!
If you don't mind a line for Brunch, this place is ace's. Super cool old train car with just sassy enough staff and really great food, like really great food. Really great time so glad we went.
Always a tasty place to get breakfast! They work hard here, and it shows!
Prepare to wait in line if you want a booth, otherwise counter normally has open spots faster. Service is outstanding. Speed is well above par. Food is absolutely incredible. Well worth the stop everytime i am on town. It is very tight spacing so if you have a bit extra love to yourself, caution for multiple bumps.
We've been coming here since 2002. It already has a cool history, the menu has evolved over time to include soups that are not afraid to have some spice, homemade bread, lots of eggy dishes. We try to time our arrivals to coincide with little or no lines. This is a fine art where sometimes we have to forgo our visit and sometimes we luck out.
If you're looking for the greasy spoon to outdo all other greasy spoons, Franks Diner is the one for you. They are unapologetically who they are and will never change. The food is simply ridiculous. Their Garbage Plates are the signature dish and they're appropriately named - they're greasy, messy, cheesy, and delicious. They offer up a bunch of other standard breakfast goodies that I'm told are also awesome. The atmosphere is unparalleled and cannot be replicated - it's akin to stepping into a time capsule. This establishment is cash only and the wait staff is fast and demands action. Get to Franks and eat your way through a Kenosha landmark!
It was my first time having it and it was so delicious. Very filling. The cinnamon roll was dense but the icing was to die for. Highly reccomend
Great Hometown Diner! Awesome food, greatsmall town ambient. The staff has all been therefor a long time so you see the same faces visit after visit. It's my go to when I'm in Kenosha.Keep up the excellent job all!
Charming. Fresh. Great menu and value.
The garbage plate is the best way to start your day!!!!!
Not sure what is better the food or the floor show! Definitely sit at the counter if you can
The wait time was a little ridiculous but under current restrictions.. It is what it is... But the food was absolutely delicious!!!
Had a great late breakfast at one of out favorite nostalgic restaurants in Kenosha! The service ... always friendly ... the food ... delicious and in serving size that leaves you pleasantly stuffed and happy! My husband has been coming here since 1968.
Nice place to have a Saturday breakfast!
This food is amazing, really large portions. We loved our waiter he was a great joker he made our experience perfect.
Very crowded, had to sit at counter and kept getting poked in the back by people standing right behind me waiting for a table. Plenty of food for the price, just a little too greasy for my liking. Was actually quite sick for remainder of day. Staff was very pleasant and fun. Not for the claustrophobic! Be aware - Cash only.
This is probably the most popular spot for breakfast in the area. It's unique, it's local and interesting. It's built around a train cabin which was decommissioned. It's not a fancy place and the wait is too long but I recommend everyone to try. It's a different experience. Portions are big.
Under some serious summer 2020 coronavirus restrictions, Franks has held on and is now wide open. We ate at a table on the street. The service was a bit sketchy however we were in no hurry so it didn’t matter. I got the biscuits and gravy, my better half got cinnamon french toast. Both were excellent. This is just the type of one-off old school places we need to keep open. Seems like people were flocking in. Let’s hope it stays that way.
Frank's was amazing! The food was delicious and prices were great, and the portions are very big! The staff was hilarious and very helpful! I got one of their famous cinnamon rolls to go, and it did not disappoint! So much frosting! Will definitely visit again, on our next trip to WI.
I Love eating here! Wonderful food for a small price & staff treats you as family
Always a fabulous meal! I love this place and these people!
Great food but had forgotten my takeout beverage
Always a great garbage plate and more food than I could possibly eat in one sitting. Very busy during the weekends but not bad during the week. You can get a seat right away if you sit at the bar, and then you can watch them fry up your food, too!
The garbage plates are absolutely delicious. Be careful when ordering the pancakes. Although the are good and fluffy the sheer size of one is intimidating, so order wisely. One is more th than enough for me. The workers are friendly and quite comedic. You'll really enjoy your time here.
Frank's breakfast is the best!! The staff is awesome! Except for the one guy that toasts the toast and puts the tops on carry out trays. Learn how to talk to customers! You were pretty rude! especially when there were no instructions how your establishment wanted customers to check in...we had called in our orders and were told to pay inside. There were 4 customers inside your restaurant and we were keeping 6 feet between us when you rudely kicked us out without taking our names. As we were standing outside for over 5 minutes other customers were walking in past us getting there food! Fix him and I'll give you 5 plus!!!!
Best food fantastic staff, a must stop on your way through or while staying in Kenosh.
There's very little I can say about this place that just requires you to experience it yourself. It's quite the time! Attentive-hilarious staff, great food and drinks, and the ambience is out of the world adding so much to the over all experience. We had a garbage plate and pancakes -- out of this world and on another level than just your typical diner. Be prepared as the diner is cash only but there's an ATM available. Would love to go back and highly recommend.

Excellent food. Worth the wait
Frank’ Diner is truly one of a kind! Salt of the earth Owners and staff that make you feel so welcome! The quality and quantity of delicious food are second to none!! Kevin, Julie, Ashley, Sandra Dee , Josh , Nicole and all the others... We love you❤️ Joe and Mary Schauer...
Who doesnt love this place? The food, amazing! The atmosphere, awesome! The staff, well if you havent been you will find out. Seriously awesome place, just be ready to possibly have to wait in line to get in.
I really enjoyed this tiny restaurant. The atmosphere here is great, everyone is very friendly and one of the owners is always cracking up jokes. I highly recommend the full portion of the garbage plate with ham, ground beef hash, sausage and pepper jack cheese, it was delicious. All the portions are big enough for two people. I also recommend seating at the counter instead of a table, you'll have a better experience there. You'll be able to interact with the employees and the owners. They make you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time there. What an awesome breakfast place, too bad I live 2 hours away otherwise I would be there for breakfast every day. This place was featured on Diners and Dives with two ladies as the owners, but since then it has been sold to a husband and wife team. JUST A REMINDER!! "IT'S A CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT" they do have an ATM in the basement.
I was able to be seated immediately and the food was divine. I will absolutely be going back there in the future, especially for their biscuits and gravy and their pot roast with the garbage plate.
Good food, nice people great place for breakfast.
As someone who really has a thing for breakfast, this cute little Diner takes the cake. It has a very hearty atmosphere and everyone was hilarious. If you’re having trouble deciding on what to get, I highly recommend the garbage plate. You can never go wrong with that choice. I do plan on coming back to tackle those pancakes! Also, it is cash only but there is an ATM. Who doesn’t like the feeling of handing over crispy dollar bills though, am I right?? 😉 But love it, willing to catch a flight for a bite. Looking forward to heading back over there all the way from Seattle!
Great atmosphere and delicious food! Staff are awesome but you better have a sense of humor! Bit of a wait for a table but the staff will help you out and it’s worth it!
I had such an amazing experience at Frank's Diner! The food was delicious and very large portions! I was very impressed by the service!!! Everyone is treated like family! I am definitely coming back! Big thanks to Mike for the extra attention/patience with my son!
Amazing food. Make sure you get the homemade bread, hands down it's beyond amazing. The garbage plate is amazing. Portions are very generous and the cocktails yummy.
I have been coming here for decades and LOVE THE SIGNATURE GARBAGE PLATE. An interesting note, is it took a global pandemic for them to start taking credit/debit cards. Welcome to this century...
Great food, great service, plan to wait. But it's so worth it. If the wait is too long, just plan to either come back another day or later.
Frank's Diner has great food. The cooks and servers are some of the best i have experienced. Its a very laid back with a very clean enviornment. The Garbage plates are popular on the menu. Everyone needs to experience at least 1 time eating at this diner. I cant put into words the ambience of the diner is welcoming and full of people with smiles.
Cozy venue that's been a Keno fav for over 90 years boasts an awesome breakfast menu.Cool staff serving up old school breakfast plates at a good price, make sure you bring cash.
I am visiting Kenosha and decided to try this place out. It was like stepping back in time, walking through the door. I was greeted by the most cheerful young man. He asked me where I wanted to sit and approved my choice. I had a good time reading the menu (BRING CASH). I was asked pretty quickly what I wanted to drink and it was brought quickly. All the employees were smiling and hard at work. It was busy, but not terribly so. Since the soup of the day wasn't Hungarian mushroom, I ordered a hamburger and of course, a cinnamon roll. The food was cooked fresh and hot. The hamburger patty was the best patty I have ever had outside my own. It had a great taste, wasn't breast in texture and cooked with a nice sear. It was a great hamburger! The cinnamon roll was homemade. If you want a good homemade roll, with plenty of icing and cinnamon, this is it. I enjoyed the whole meal, the atmosphere and the staff. Highly recommend!!
